General membership meetings are normally held in the evening on the third Thursday of each month in the Palmer Lake Town Hall. Following a brief business meeting, there is an historical presentation followed by refreshments. Programs are free to the public, unless otherwise noted. See the Tribune Calendar/Events, The Community News, Posted Flyers or the Membership Program Email for Details.
Should a program be canceled due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness, the Membership will be notified as practical by email of the cancellation and the substitute program. During the school year, the closing of the D-38 School District, usually for inclement weather, will also indicate the cancellation of a scheduled Historical Society program, event or museum opening occuring on that day. D-38 closure announcements are made on many local media outlets. All Palmer Lake Historical Society events are planned, coordinated and carried out by the board of directors of the PLHS.
